WASHINGTON -- Democratic sources tell the Associated Press that President Barack Obama intends to travel to Massachusetts before Tuesday to campaign for the endangered Democratic candidate in a Senate special election.

The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to pre-empt a White House announcement. The timing of the visit is uncertain.

A poll is showing a shift in favor of the Republican Party in the race to fill a Senate seat that Democrats have held for more than half a century. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy died of brain cancer last August

Brown, a republican, is leading in the poles. A number of people, mostly independent, have grown quickly dissatisfied with the actions of Obama and a largely democrat congress, which seem to be acting on their plan, rather than paying attention to the electorate that got them there. And to have their town hall meetings marginalized. Many independents that helped elect Obama and this congress are now going back to conservativism and there is a feeling among some in this country that it wouldn't be all bad to replace nearly everyone. Right now, we still have the power to do so.

Even though I did not vote for Obama, I figured that some of his campaign was rhetoric that and he might settle down to center and do as he said, bring parties together transparently. Just recently, in his own press conference, he said that if the reoublican party wanted to fight against his healthcare bill, that is a fight he would welcome. There is no negotiation other than granted exemptions to orgs and reps that support and vote for him. The unions that voted for him are getting an exemption on the healthcare tax. Louisiana is getting an exemption on the basis of the senator voting for the bill. It's called bribery. That leaves everyone else who didn't want it having to pay for it. Massachusetts is a sign of what will happen in 2010 and 2012.
